The Den has just been lovingly converted to offer several different spaces that can be utilised for all styles of weddings and celebrations. Our venue is suited to accommodate from 70 to 250 guests. You are able to bring in your many of your own suppliers to create your event just the way you want your day.
We are very centrally located and within easy reach of many of the major cities by car or rail. We have excellent road links with easy access to the motorways, making us an ideal location for you and your guests to reach

My wife Pamela and I held our recent wedding at The Den at Culross and we cannot recommend both the team and the venue itself highly enough. From initial booking through owners Audrey and John right through to the ceremony day/night, the support and service provided by the team went above and beyond our expectations. Wedding planning can be notoriously stressful but with the help of The Den we were able to thoroughly enjoy the process. Every request and query was dealt with in a pleasant and professional manner, nothing was ever too much to ask and the passion the team have for making the day as special as possible really shines through. Special mention to our wonderful coordinator Jan, venue stylist Elaine and bar manager Ashleigh. Their expertise, calming influence and enthusiasm played a massive part in our day being so much better than we could ever have imagined. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. We've had countless comments from our guests complimenting the character and charm of the The Den. With such an extensive catalogue of props available, you can really put your own stamp on the space. It helps to create a really personal atmosphere, not just another generic setting. You will struggle to find a more spectacular venue to hold a wedding. Audrey, John and the team should be extremely proud of what they have created, a truly special place. We're keeping our fingers crossed that we are lucky enough to return as wedding guests in the future.
The Den at Culross exceeded all our expectations and more having got married in September. From the moment we first went to view the venue we knew it was the place for us; a beautiful venue with so much character and charm with enough space to make the venue our own, with an amazing team behind it from the start. The team took the time to get to know us and what we were looking for and no query or question was ever too much. They made the run up and planning of the day so easy for us and we didn't have any worries for our big day. So supportive and helpful from booking and in the set up the day before. Having the cottage just down the road was a brilliant addition; fully equipped with enough space for the morning preparations with the bridal party and suppliers. Our family and friends have been so complimentary and raving about the venue and day itself since and we know it wouldn't have been such a success without the team at the Den. A massive thanks to Jan our wedding co-ordinator who was always a few steps ahead of us, Elaine in helping us create such a personalised space for us, Ashleigh for all your help with the bar and Audrey and John; you've created such an amazing space, beautiful inside and out and the attention to detail is fantastic. We chose the Den for our wedding venue and we are so glad we did! The team that planned and coordinated our wedding were faultless and made the process so smooth and enjoyable. The venue speaks for itself, it is stunning and immaculately finished inside and out. So many of our guests were blown away and impressed by the venue (as were we when we visited for the first time)! Needless to say our wedding day was the best day of our lives and the Den had a massive role to play in that! When my husband and I got engaged, we weren’t in a rush to book anything—but after seeing The Den on Instagram, we decided to go for a visit. As soon as we walked through the gates into the courtyard, we just knew. The venue is absolutely stunning and has such a unique charm, but what really made it special was the team behind it. From the very first meeting, Audrey and John were so warm and welcoming. Along with Jan and Ashleigh, they made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. They took the time to get to know us, and it never felt like we were just another couple on the calendar. They genuinely cared about making our day feel like our day. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but they made it so easy. Nothing was ever too much trouble—any time we had a question or weren’t sure about something, they were there with helpful advice and reassurance. Their attention to detail was amazing, and they handled everything with such calm and care that we never had to worry. On the day itself, everything ran perfectly. It was smooth, joyful, and never felt rushed. We were able to just enjoy every moment, knowing the team had everything under control. Since the wedding, so many of our guests have told us how beautiful and different the venue was. It’s not like anywhere else they’ve been, and we couldn’t agree more. We honestly can’t recommend The Den enough. It’s a place full of heart, and we really hope we’ll be back one day to celebrate someone else’s big day. It’ll always be a special part of our story.

If I could give 10 stars I would! We recently got married at this fabulous venue and it was our dream day. If you’re looking for a wedding venue - take this as your sign! From the moment we walked through the courtyard almost 4 years ago I already had made my mind up this was the one, before I’d been inside! The stunning location, the natural, rustic look and the rural landscape is exactly what I was looking for and The Den had all that so it was no question really! I really loved that the venue had a separate area for the ceremony and the meal so there was no need for moving tables etc and that it was a blank canvas venue so we were able to add that personal touch - with the help of Elaine who styled the venue for us. Without Elaine I definitely would have been out of my depth and wouldn’t have been able to do the venue justice! The owners, John & Audrey are the most down to earth and lovely people I have ever came across. They went absolutely above and beyond to make our day run perfectly and helping with last minute things when our daughter became unwell during our big day. We really enjoyed getting to know John & Audrey & Ashleigh and the rest of the Den staff over the planning period and we cannot express how lovely, thoughtful & professional each person we came across was. Our lovely wedding coordinator, Jan, was just magnificent with her calm approach to eveything, always being a few steps ahead - she had it all covered and it was a joy to have her keep me calm and stress free on our big day. The cottage where I stayed the night before with my bridal party was lovely, it’s clean, quiet, spacious, lovely decorated & equipped with everything you would need - even a dog kennel! We got married at The Den at Culross on the 17th of May 2025 and honestly, it was just perfect from start to finish! From the moment we first viewed the venue, we knew it was the one for us! It really had the wow factor! It’s full of gorgeous, cosy rustic charm and packed with character. The surroundings are so peaceful and calm, with plenty of lovely spots for photos. The courtyard is just beautiful too. Owners Audrey and John are the loveliest people. You can tell how much love they’ve poured into the venue, and it really shows. All the staff were amazing as well, super friendly, so helpful, and just genuinely lovely to have around on the day. Massive shoutout to Elaine, our coordinator, who was an absolute star from start to finish. She was always there when we needed her, totally on top of everything, and made the day run like magic. We honestly couldn’t have done it without her! So many of our guests told us it was one of the best venues they’d ever been to and we totally agree. We can't recommend The Den enough. They were the first and only venue we went to see before planning our wedding and knew we'd found somewhere special. Audrey and her team were incredibly helpful all the way through and no request was too silly (including a room to watch The Simpsons). Ashleigh helped us plan out our drinks package and came up with our personalised cocktails that went down a treat on the day. Jan our coordinator ensured the day ran smoothly and looked after all of our guests. From booking, right through to tidying up the day after all staff went above and beyond to make our day special. We chose The Den at Culross as our venue for our Wedding day as simply fell in love with the venue, it is utterly beautiful and has been finished to such an incredibly beautiful standard. I can’t put into words how grateful we are for the support and organisation from Audrey, Elaine & their entire team. They have all been so warm, kind and have gone the extra mile at every point. All our guests commented on how kind all the staff were & it really did add to the magic of our day. The cottage and the loft were beautiful spaces for us to get ready on the morning of the wedding too. We got married at @thedenatculross, on 05/04/2025, and I have to say, we fell in love with the venue at the very start! It wasn't just the stunning venue, beautiful views, and the gorgeous set-up we loved. It was the people. Audrey and John are the most amazing people. Nothing is too much trouble for them.... you feel connected to the family as the whole family get involved to help with the preparation of the big day! You also have Joanne, Ashleigh, Jan and Elaine, who are on hand to help out! Joanne keeps all the admin work on point. Ashleigh manages the bar and staff, who are all brilliant! Jan, who was our co-ordinator for the day....well, if you need someone to keep you calm and organised, that's Jan. Elaine is also a co-ordinator, but also can do the styling for the big day..... and when I say she brought our vision to life.....wow! She did! I cannot wait to get my photos back from our photographer so I can share all the beautiful set up photos from our day! But I also wanted to recognise them for everything they've done for us. We got married at The Den at Culross in February 2025 and couldn’t rate it highly enough. From the minute we stepped into the venue we knew it was the place for us. It is beautifully rustic but so well looked after and maintained. We loved that there are separate spaces for the ceremony, drinks reception and meal/evening reception. It flows so well and no need to move any furniture around. It is the perfect mix of a blank canvas venue that you can make your own but they have so many bits and pieces you can use and they help you with the design and layout. All the staff at the Den were absolutely fantastic - the owners, wedding coordinator and bar staff were all so helpful throughout the planning process and on the day itself. Special mention to Audrey, Jan and Ashleigh - as someone who likes to be in control I felt so relaxed on the day knowing everything was being taken care of. All our suppliers also commented how easy it was to work with the Den. We had the most incredible day and we’re so glad we chose the den for our wedding. Our guests loved the venue and kept talking about it for weeks after. We could write so much more about how fantastic it was but for anyone considering the Den for their wedding we only have positive things to say.
Absolutely first class place, great for any wedding or party, excellent service at the bar although a bit pricey £5,50 pint of Tennents lager £4.50 for an ordinary half of whisky £2.can of irn bru.
An absolutely stunning venue, staffed by friendly and welcoming folks. The food was lovely and everything was so well appointed and neat as a pin. Large and small spaces, lots of different uses for a space that is functional and a bit magical.

I don’t even know where to start. From the moment myself and my now husband walked into The Den 18 months before our wedding, we fell completely in love with it. The space is perfect with a beautiful intimate ceremony room, byre, courtyard and then of course the massive bar and ceilidh space! The venue was exactly what we were looking for. In the run up to the wedding The Den were so easy to deal with and always on hand to answer any questions. We visited a couple of times ourselves and with parents which was lovely. Audrey and John clearly care so much about their venue and making sure it is perfect for all their couples. There were quite a few details that were important to us but nothing was too much trouble. Interestingly, my makeup artist actually commented on the morning of the wedding that she loves coming to The Den because at most other venues the bride gets bothered a lot with lots of troubleshooting questions the morning of the wedding. But at The Den they just deal with it! I had the most relaxed morning. Our coordinator for the day, Jan, deserves a whole paragraph of her own. On the day everything ran flawlessly and that is absolutely thanks to her. From herding our guests, some cheeky jokes, toilet break reminders (this was so helpful), fetching my veil for impromptu photos or my dancing shoes - we cannot thank you enough. Photo opportunities are in abundance at such a gorgeous venue, the ceremony room, the byre, the brickwork, fields and fairy lights (the list is endless). Everything is so aesthetic that we were never more than a 2 minute walk away from our guests to get photos. The fact that there is space for both the bride and groom to get ready separately (in the cottage and grooms room) took away so much stress of travelling and meant we both got “getting ready photos” despite having 1 photographer. Having the bar area was one of the things that really sealed the deal for us. It is such a perfect space, we had some older guests at the wedding that at most other events have taken themselves to a quieter area. As the band is quite far from the bar, although you can definitely still hear and see all the dancing, all our guests stayed in the same room the whole night which was perfect! And we have to mention that dance floor! The Den team moved 5 of our tables (I have no idea when… we didn’t even notice it was so seamless!). We wanted a big ceilidh and that’s exactly what we got. None of the other venues we visited had even close to the dancing space, it was perfect! On clear up day everything had been sorted for us into one area so it was as simple as picking up our things and putting it in the car which was perfect in our delicate state. We have to give a massive thank you to everyone behind the scenes who made that happen. We honestly will never forget The Den and could never express how grateful we are to have had the most special day of our lives at your venue. In case it is not clear from all of that, yes we would absolutely recommend!
Great wedding venue
We had our wedding at the Den in 2023 and would highly recommend it to anyone! We loved the wow factor of the courtyard and the barn, and having different spaces for our guests throughout the day. The team were super helpful with letting us come and visit with various family members and suppliers and guiding us through our plans. They have a huge package of furniture and props you can add on which we used to decorate the venue our way and Audrey made it super easy to set up laying it all out for us in advance so we only had to do finishing touches ourselves. The resident bar company Timorous Beasties were amazing and helpful as well. Jan especially put us at ease with the plans for the day and we can't thank her enough for helping it all go perfectly and making sure we were both where we needed to be at various points of the day! Even the day after the team had organised our decorations so it was easy for us to collect and get back to celebrating. A brilliant team and incredible venue, thank you so much!

Wow what a unique wedding venue! We had our special day on 16th September 2023, Audrey and John are so amazing and have done so great at creating an incredible wedding space! We booked our wedding with them at the end of 2020 and they have been so helpful all the way up to our special day, no question was a stupid question and they both made us so relaxed, being able to set up on the Friday made the whole experience so much better and being able to add our own decor alongside the hired props from the attic really gave it a personalised feeling. Jan the wedding coordinator was incredible, she talked us through everything we needed to do and made the day run so smoothly, she was always around to make sure we were doing ok, even down to checking if we needed the loo before the ceremony haha. We had the most perfect day at the den and it’s truly down to the staff they really know what they are doing and we cannot thank them enough for giving us the most special day
Review - The Den at Culross - Weddings me and my husband chose this venue in 2021 for our big day. It was the first and only venue we viewed and immediately knew it was our place! It is the most beautiful venue we have ever been to and all of the staff could not be more helpful. Audrey is so lovely and was extremely accommodating with all of our plans. Joanne was super helpful on the day before our wedding and Jan is a fantastic wedding coordinator. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day. We first found The Den online in the midst of the first 2020 pandemic lockdown after being engaged for 1 year and The Den only being operational for less than 1 year. There weren't a lot of photos to go by but when we finally had a chance to visit in June 2020, and after meeting Audrey and John the owners, we loved what they had created and put our trust in them and booked up. Fast forward a few years and we got married in May of this year and it was exceptional. The support, service and care you receive from both the owners and the wedding coordinators and support staff is second to none. Everyone genuinely cares about you having the best day you can and Audrey and family welcome you into what is essentially their home and garden. Our day itself was coordinated by the wonderful Elaine who felt like a family member, seamlessley running the day in the background. The team has everything down to a tee and all our guests were blown away by the venue! The venue has fantastic recommended suppliers, many of whom we booked and the onsite bar, Timorous Beasties, were fabulous in keeping all our guests well hydrated. Our wedding day at The Den near Culross was an absolute dream come true. From the moment we stepped foot into the venue, we knew we had found the perfect place for our special day. Audrey took us on a tour and never pushed us into making a decision which was so refreshing and made us feel really relaxed. A venue like no other! As soon as we set foot in the courtyard we knew it was the one for us but there was zero pressure from Audrey (the opposite of what we experienced from many other venues!) to jump head first into booking on our first visit - one of the many reasons why Audrey was so fantastic to work with - so down to earth and a real gem. Audrey and the team are fantastic. They were helpful and supportive throughout the entire wedding planning process but still allowed us the space and freedom to make our ideas come to life, but were always on hand to help if we needed it. If you are looking for a DIY venue where you can make it completely your own, this is the one for you, but you can rest assured that the team are ready and waiting to help and advise should you need them. Nothing was ever too much and it was clear that although the den is a business, at the heart of it, they really are invested in helping ensure your wedding day is perfect. Even as a “blank canvas” the venue is stunning. It is the perfect set up - from the byre for your ceremony, the courtyard for some drinks and the fairy lit barn for the most special evening reception dancing the night away with your nearest and dearest - this venue has it all and the transition between areas is completely flawless. There are so many ways to put your personal touch on the venue, but not to forget that they also have a bunch of props that you can use when you choose one of their furniture/prop packages. The venue is the perfect backdrop for some seriously gorgeous wedding photographs - no matter how many times we look at our wedding photos, we continue to be in awe of this beautiful venue and all that it has to offer. Working with the den was such a lovely experience. We got married at the Den this past weekend and we could not recommend it enough. It goes without saying that the venue itself is stunning. However, there are also many thoughtful touches, that initially we didn't even appreciate, that have gone into designing this venue that made it perfect for ourselves and our guests. Things like the log burners outside to ensure we could enjoy the courtyard at night even in the cold, incredible lighting for our photographers to capture each moment and a loft space to keep our comfy shoes in for latter in the evening! However, as stunning as the venue is, the thing we have been most impressed by is the team at the Den. They have been extremely supportive and helpful throughout all stages of planning. They assisted us when we had to make last minute changes and their amazing organisation meant nothing was forgotten or needed sorting at the eleventh hour. The day itself ran smoothly and we felt completely at ease for the whole time. Thank you so much to the whole team for everything and we couldn't recommend this venue enough to other couples.

Our experience getting married at The Den was perfect - you hear stories of something always going wrong in a wedding, but that was not the case for us and I honestly think it is in large part due to our choice in venue. We chose the Den because it is gorgeous (the courtyard is what really sold it to us) and came with a variety of in-house furniture and decor to choose from which saved us having to look externally. But I think the real gem of the Den was the support and patience from Audrey and John, the owners, and the incredible Elaine, the in-house wedding coordinator, who was there on the day to make sure everything went smoothly. We had a Latvian-Scottish wedding so there was a mix of traditions that needed to be timed well and Elaine took the time to understand our wishes and helped us execute them to perfection. We heard nothing but praise from our guests about the venue and how seamless everything was, and we could not agree more! We also made use of the on-site cottage, which was really cosy and convenient both for getting ready and staying after the wedding. We had our dog with us and she was able to stay in a large outside pen whilst we were celebrating, but it was close enough that we could sneak back for a quick cuddle as we took a little newlyweds break from the guests. All in all I can't imagine a better venue experience, thank you so much!
As a wedding photographer, I've had the joy of experiencing a lot of converted barn style venues. I've never been as impressed with a place like I was when I first stepped into The Den at Culross. The attention to detail Audrey and John have put into this venue is phenomenal. No expense was spared when it came to making this a top-quality wedding venue. The whole venue has been thoroughly thought-out and done so with impeccable taste. The owners and staff will do everything possible to create the best experience for it's couples and their guests. The venue, and surrounding areas are gorgeous, and on a beautiful summer's day there's no where else I'd rather be photographing.

We visited The Den for a family wedding and it was gorgeous! Everything was so thought out, the staff were fantastic, it was spacious and oh my gosh the scenery around the place was stunning, great for photo opportunities! If we lived closer we'd definetely consider this place for our own wedding (we live down south so a bit too far!!). Good parking, lovely courtyard, well looked after toilets, and the part where we had our dinner and dancing was huge with lovely decorations as part of it (not the ones additionally supplied by the wedding party).
What a venue! We instantly fell in love with the Den as soon as we saw it online. The venue is STUNNING! We really wanted a simple/rustic/barn for our wedding, and this venue was it! Really beautifully converted, and the furniture on offer from Grace (The Attic) really complemented the setting. Audrey, John, Jan and Grace were incredible throughout my whole wedding planning. Very patient and allowed us to come and view the venue as many times as we wanted and answered all my annoying questions. Trying to plan a wedding during Covid and when times were uncertain for wedding capacity. Audrey was nothing but calm, supportive and VERY patient with us. If you’re considering booking this place, DO IT!! You won’t regret it!

The Den at Culross takes the concept of the barn wedding to a whole new level. It offers so much because it has different areas you can use on your wedding day. Wait until you see the huge barn they have created for the party! Wow! This is a very special venue run by a friendly, helpful and dedicated team. They were a pleasure to work with and I hope I will be taking part in another fabulous wedding at this stunning venue again soon.
